COVID-19: Resources for Families

We know how challenging it’s been to adapt to the disruptions in daily life and routine caused by COVID-19. We’re here to help.

Whether you need resources to help connect with your loved one, are looking for tools to help your loved one acclimate at home in the absence of day programs and school, or you’re curious how we are spending our days and staying engaged inside Bancroft group homes… we’ve compiled resources every Bancroft family can use.

From online tools and activities shared by our Therapeutic Activities Specialists, to videos created by our teachers and photos from staff – check this page often for new tools and information you can use!

1. Tools for virtual visits with your loved one

We are encouraging families to maintain contact with their loved ones through phone or video chats while new visitation protocols are in effect.

Bancroft staff are using Google Hangouts Meet to facilitate video calls. This is a free, online video conferencing tool available through the Google Suite applications. You do not need a Gmail account to join a Google Meet video call. Program Managers can help you with this process.  Click here for a guide to using Google Hangouts Meet
